Mary Davies was born in Wales and grew up in a town at the foothills of Snowdonia. Surrounded by natural beauty her eyes were always open to seeing and appreciating her environment. She began capturing images of her family with her 35mm camera and has developed a need to look more closely at the who and whys of life.
Previous Work
The recent bodies of work that have been completed, focus more on the intricacies of the human form and how it is regarded by society in general.
How people interact within society is always intriguing. How we see ourselves depicted by and through social media or how we turn our backs on media technology and live in isolation, physically and technologically.
Present Work
Continuing with personal projects regarding people and the spaces they live in, while carrying out more formal commissioned studio work and portraits and working with corporate businesses improving and developing the visuals of their internet presence.
Presently developing a portfolio of book cover images and artwork to be used by publishing houses.
